Mountain views, walks and wine... day tour in a vintage VW Kombi
"A fantastic experience with a great guide. Michael was super attentive and great at making conversation. The sights were beautiful and driving around in this very well kept dream car made it even better. Would 100% recommend this experience to anyone thinking on it. Great way to see lots of sights that most tourists would miss out on."

"Such a fab day trip! Beautiful sites, lovely walks, delicious picnic recommendations and some wine to top it all off! There were 7 of us altogether and it didn’t feel cramped at all. We had a great day and highly recommend a trip in the VW with Michael (who also gave us great top tips for the rest of our stay)! Thank you Michael"

"Best way to see the Blue Mountains. Michael makes it feel like he’s just a good mate showing you around his favourite spots. 100% recommended."

'Mountain views, walks and wineries' is the Captain's most popular tour. It is held each Saturday and Sunday, from approx 11am to 5.30pm.
On this tour we visit outstanding places in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains—away from the crowded tourist spots— as we wind our way toward the vineyards in the picturesque Megalong Valley. The tour includes:
If you're staying in the Blue Mountains at one of the many hotels and B&Bs, the Captain can pick you up from locations anywhere between Wordford and Blackheath. If you're staying further away, we'll arrange a convenient place to meet.
If you're coming from Sydney for a day trip, you will need to travel to the Blue Mountains by about 11am. You can drive yourself if you wish, but many people prefer to catch the cheap, easy and scenic Blue Mountains train, part of Sydney's commuter train network. From Sydney Central the train takes about 1 hour 40 minutes and costs about $6. The Captain will collect you from a train station or other arranged location. A modified tour can be arranged on weekdays for group bookings (min. 3 people). Please note that on weekdays we usually can't visit the vineyards because they are only open on weekends, but there are many other great places to see! |
REGULAR PRICES:
Adult - $129 Child (under 15yo)* - $65 GROUP DISCOUNT PRICES: 2 adults - $239 3 adults - $339 4 adults - $429 5 adults - $519 (groups of 6 or 7 are possible - please consult the Captain) * Of course, there are no wine tastings for guests under 18 years of age, but there is plenty to amuse and interest young'uns at the vineyards.
